What happens if you ingest a very large amount of CBD Oil …

  • What happens if you ingest a very large amount of CBD Oil?

In general, CBD is extremely safe to use on an ongoing basis. It can be taken multiple times per day, each and every day.

It can provide chronic pain relief, relief from inflammation in the body, it can perk up your appetite and you can improve your quality of sleep from balancing your body with CBD. There have been no known cases of a CBD overdose. Your body processes it pretty quickly, and there aren’t really many side effects to be concerned with.

If you were to take a very large dose, you might experience something like slightly lowered blood pressure, tiredness or brain fog. The only thing you really need to be careful of, is whether or not you’re taking a prescription medication for a medical issue. Certain prescription medications can cause an interaction that could be dangerous.

Taking too much CBD could make you feel confused and upset. Also, studies have found that CBD oil is known to interact with certain medications, so make sure to consult your doctor or pharmacist if you’re currently taking any prescriptions.

Even though CBD oil that only contains CBD will not get your high, once you reach your therapeutic dose, taking more will likely just make you want to take a nap. Studies have found that CBD can cause diarrhea, changes in appetite, and fatigue in some people. Follow the dosage directions to get the best results.

Depending on how much of the actual oil you are consuming, you can get sick from the oil alone. If there is a 32oz jar with 32,000mg of CBD, that is a very large amount of oil to consume. Whether it’s coconut oil, mct oil, olive oil, it’s not good to drink it. Extremely high amounts of medicinal CBD (not hemp) will get you high. The amount of THC in the CBD will give you a high that will be from all of the cannabinoids present. But even then, you still won’t die or even come close. And yet it’s still federally illegal.

Many small-scale studies have looked into the safety of Cannabidiol (CBD) in adults. They concluded that adults tend to tolerate a wide range of doses well.

Researchers have found no significant side effects on the central nervous system, the vital signs, or mood, even among people who used high dosages.

The most common side effect was tiredness. Also, some people reported diarrhea and changes in appetite or weight.

There is still a lack of available long-term safety data.

People participating in CBD-related studies have reported several side effects, including extreme sleepiness, decreased appetite, diarrhea, fatigue, convulsions, vomiting, and some abnormal results on liver function tests. So far, scientific research has not pinpointed any clear limits to how much CBD is too much CBD.

    Probably not much.

At worst, you will get tired and sleepy, or energized and anxious – Everybody responds differently.

However if you are used to consuming CBD and marijuana, then you probably won’t notice any negative effects at all with large doses.

Don’t know why anyone would even consider doing this. Some may end up vomiting it up just because your stomach wouldn’t handle a large amount of oil. Some find larger amounts of CBD cause some drowsiness, but not passing out. That is why I micro-dose throughout the day instead of taking 1–2 larger doses. It probably wouldn’t cause much damage.
